September 6: The stints and stilts got company: 2 Ruffs

The whole lot took off when a Peregrine
Falcon flew over and tried to get his pick. He didn't get what he wanted, but a
bunch of feathers on the road suggest he or she was successful on another
attempt.

They took refuge in another field where
the rice offers protection, but the water is a bit deep for the Ruff's short
bills...
