Shigichi in Imazu 1

Waders come and go. The ones that usually stop by in the fields in west Fukuoka are there, but in small numbers. Most of the time they are hiding between the rice plants. You're lucky when you see some. On most occasions I come across some Red-necked Stints, sometimes in company of a Long-toed Stint, 1 or 2 Wood Sandpipers,  Terek Sandpipers or a Dunlin.

Red-necked Stints,トウネン

In the same field 1 Dunlin, ハマシギ...

...and 1 Long-toed Stint, ヒバリシギ

2 Wood Sandpipers, タカブシギ at a very unusual location. They didn't stay long.

It is still early in the season. Hopefully we will see some more
