It appeared in the darkest corner of the park, a magnificent male. A female was seen nearby, but not by me.

Silver week birds 2
The next day, Sept 22 we drove to the big volcano in Unzen and I hiked to the valley where little birds come to a small pond. A number of female Narcissus Flycathers was hanging around a lot during the morning. The cloud cover made the scene dark and the cold wind might have been the reason why none of them went in the water to bath, nor to drink. At the end of the morning a Thrush appeared and that was a big surprise!
