Ferruginous Duck,

A beautiful male, indeed. It was only here for 1 day. Thanx to Ms. N. I got to see it.

The sun was low, the light fading. Behind me, the Buntings were calling. Reed Bunting,

Several Blue Rock Thrushes, オソヒヨドリ were chasing each other. The fight for territory is on. I love the female.

First week of November, part 2

On the 9th I visited those places that I missed the previous day. There was a female Ferruginous Duck - again this year! Way at the back of course. A decent photo is barely possible. So much stuff floating around as well. This is what I managed:

Ferruginous Duck,

There is the American again. Same bird as yesterday.
American Wigeon,

A Falcated Duck, ヨシガモ by itself

At the mudflats were a few Black-winged Stilt,

All these far-distance sightings don't give me any good photos. I was happy to see a Bunting, so I could make up for that.
Meadow Bunting,

Maybe.

Looks like a different bird to me

And then the rain came. I returned home to find my neighbor Thrush at home, looking very wet and sad. Tomorrow he'll be whistling again, I'm sure!
Blue Rock Thrush,

Ferruginous Duck,

There were 2 males, very reluctant to come close.

At the usual corner I jumped over the ditch... and missed. Spread out like an eagle I lay in the grass for a minute. The sun was warm and it all felt like summer, but I knew this was the last time for me to jump that ditch. At least with camera gear in my hands. 😅😎😅

One of the Ferruginous Ducks, メジロガモ with white eyes and a white bum

The other one, equally far away...

Finally, the 2 of them in one shot. But... are they both Ferruginous?

Thanx to Mr. H: possibly Hybrid Common Pochard and Bear's Pochard

It finally has become cold. People stay inside in their warm rooms. Birds fly and seem to enjoy it. Me, I hang in there somewhere in between.

On this dark grey day I went out and had a good time bird-watching, but my  photos are the pits 😒😒😒😒😒 I had to call on the photo doctor to create this image that singels out the Ferruginous Duck, メジロガモ so you can actually see it:

Normally it would look like this

The 10 Baikal Teals, トモエガモ were a little easier on me, but not much

The 5 Smews, ミコアイサ  were there as well, just so far away...

Other birds that could be counted for: Eastern Buzzard,

15 Shelducks, ツクシガモ in the sky

A pretty female Kestrel,

The Buzzard, ノスリ again
