Short trip to Saga

First to the river where the Kingfishers can be seen. It was raining on and off, I thought it would be a good day. Both kinds of Kingfishers flew by, but I could not take any decent pictures. Next to the swamp, a regular spot, where I used up all the camera's memory in about an hour. 




Today's special: Kakiran, カキラン (Epipactis thunbergii) My favorite orchid. There were so many flowers and despite the strong wind I managed some cool shots

The Himemikuri, ヒメミクリ was mostly finished, just one flower remained



Every year a treat, the pinkish purplish Round-leaved Sundew, モウセンゴケ (Mosengoke)

In the tombo department I found the usual. A big yama was running up and down, but it would not stop

A few Fritillaries were fluttering around, I reckognized 3 I think, but I'm not the expert, anyone who knows better, correct me please.

High brown fritillary ウラギンヒョウモン  (Uragin Hyomon)



Pallas' fritillary ウラギンスジヒョウモン  (Uraginsuji Hyomon)





Silver-washed fritillary, ミドリヒョウモン (Midori Hyomon)





And what's this? A 2-spotted ladybird known as Double-stabbed Ladybug in the USA where it's very common...



More frogs, the regular Japanese tree frog, ニホンアマガエル, acrobat of the day





Numagaeru, ヌマガエル. Sweet and ugly



On the way back home, along the road:
East Asian Pollia, ヤブミョウガ (Yabu myoga)



and a small lot with Tashiroran, タシロラン
