This blog is for family and friends, to share my feelings and photos with and for myself, to support my fading memory and improve my Japanese. I intend to do some writing in kanji, but am not getting very far without a Japanese computer. So for the moment I say "konnichi wa". Aisatsu dake - just saying hello.

Tsunoshima in April, 角島

It was a long, sunny day, starting before sunrise.
This is what we saw: A Naumann's Thrush, a Siberian Stonechat and many cormorants.
Thus many pix.

Siberian Stonechat,  ノビタキ  The first of the season (April 2nd)

Naumann's Thrush, ハチジョウツグミ

Japanese Cormorants, ウミウ

Gossiping...  秘密の話 himitsu no hanashi

On the run

2 Japanese Cormorants (left) and 1 Pelagic Cormorant (right)

Pelagic Cormorants hang on to the very edge. As if they are barely tolerated.

Pelagic Cormorant, ヒメウ
