Imazu June 7th

Pleasant weather in the morning, but temps kept rising till it got quite hot. There was no official meeting yet, just a handful of people, walking the usual route.
Starting off with 4 different herons/egrets in one field, Cattle Egret, アマサギ Intermediate Egret, チュウサギ, Great Egret, ダイサギ and Little Egret, コサギ (This last one is not in view in the photo)

Great Reed Warbler, オオヨシキリ voices coming from the reed beds.

One chose a different place to send his message

One Whiskered Tern, クロハラアジサシ resting after its breakfast

Standing out in the river: a male Mandarin Duck, オシドリ. All other winter ducks seemed to have left

The family get-together: 5 young birds and a parent of Bull-headed Shrike, モズ

Cattle Egret, アマサギ again, just one bird

Another family. Spot-billed Duck, カルガモ

Across the river a small group of shore birds in migration: 4 Grey-tailed Tattlers, キアシシギ; one Whimbrel, チュウシャクシギ and a Common Greenshank,アオアシシギ

Zitting Cisticola, セッカ

Last a "royal" visitor, the Lesser Emperor dragonfly ギンヤンマ- pair!
