April, May compilation, fields

It feels strange, right at the peak of migration, with all that free time at hand but not going out to find visiting birds. Just sometimes, getting some fresh air, having a quick look.

1 Wood Sandpiper, タカブシギ all by itself

A snipe, maybe Swinhoe's Snipe, チュウジシギ

Very few shore birds and other waders, but a few Black-winged Stilts, セイタカシギ are on the move.

Siberian Stonechats, ノビタキ about 7 birds in the distance. No chance to wait them out

Zitting Cisticola, セッカ

Amur White Wagtail, ホオジロハクセキレイ

Fork-tailed Swift, アマツバメ

Black-winged Stilts, セイタカシギ again at the lotus pond. 3 birds this time

And again 1 Wood sandpiper, タカブシギ Same bird as before?

A male Kingfisher, カワセミ working very hard to catch a meal. I wondered wether he ate it all himself

Often the first chicks I see in spring: Bull-headed Shrikes, モズ

A handicapped crane and a mate: Hooded Crane, ナベヅル

The bird with the injured wing tried to flap its wings. I didn't think it could fly, but the following day the pair was gone.

Barn Swallows, ツバメ  gathering nesting materials
