Friday was a beautiful day. Sunny, but not hot. Windy, but not too much. The wind was still not from the south so I didn't expect much. But the time had come for migrating waders. Something should be there. I checked out the mudflats. It was just past high tide and there were a few Curlews. And yes, some more came flying in

The resident Dunlins, ハマシギ
Some have a blackish stomachs, which are their summer markings
A Great Egret, ダイサギ in full regalia looks kind of spooky with those roots in the back
The Chinese Milkvetch, レンゲ has become quite bushy. Good for the buntings
Meadow Bunting, ホオジロ
Chestnut-eared Bunting, ホオアカ
Dusky Thrushes, ツグミ are everywhere.
The result of hard work by the Magpies, カササギ. It looks like they consider this high rise nest finished, they were just mingling around in the field below.
