Jaap and I both came down with it. Shock! π₯π¨π± Do we have Covid 19? What do we do? Can Nori the cat get it, too? π
At the hospital we were told it seemed to be an ordinary cold. Packed with
cold medicines we returned home and tried to sleep. Thank God for Alishan’s
built-in air conditioner!!!
Living in a different country with a different culture and a difficult
language can be a challenge, to say the least. Living onboard of a sailboat
even more so.
We don’t have the use of running hot water (please wait about 30min), no washing machine, no dryer. Electricity is limited. Running the fridge (we don't have a freezer - NO ICE!π) can only be done when someone is onboard.
We totally rely on each other (Well, me a bit more on Jaap than him on meπ)
and do many things together. Like hauling bags of groceries on a steep gangway
and catching a bad cold.
And here come our friends! They dropped by to bring food, tissues fruit etc.
Any other day we would celebrate like Christmas or Thanksgiving. Today I have no energy for that but I feel sooo grateful!π
Our lives have never been ordinary to start off with, and now that we are
getting older, we are coming close to what other people call normal. But for us
is a puzzle sometimes.
