Asian Stubtail, ヤブサメ and many other visitors at the park on the hill.

This yearly visitor looks much like a Japanese Bush Warbler but it has no tail. The tiny bird moves swiftly and sings in a very high insect-like tone. He will be moving on to the mountains, where I hope to hear him in summer.

Asian Stubtail Warbler, ヤブサメ

Another vocal bird that sings from the treetops. The flock has been around since last fall. I wonder if they stay for the summer... Japanese Grosbeak, イカル

Japanese Great Tit, シジュウカラ
At the usual nesting place, the parents fly on and off, delivering small bits of worms and caterpillars.

And leaving with what looks like a mouthful of droppings. Considering the size of it the chick(s) should fly out soon!

Narcissus Flycatcher, キビタキ

At last another warbler, the Eastern Crowned Warbler, センダイムシクイ
And not the usual white belly, but a shot from the side. I had to climb up many steps to get that!
