Madarajima, Saga

We walked 15km around the island, it was rather a long way. There were few birds, but here's the record:

East Siberian White Wagtail, タイワンハクセキレイ 3 birds

Many birds flying, just a few detected when perched. They sure like to hide!

Yellow-browed Bunting,

Black-faced Bunting subspec. spodocephala,

A small flock of females around the harbor

When we got back to our starting point we could see the east Siberian White Wagtails, タイワンハクセキレイ again.

And 2 Cattle Egrets,

Along the way we saw the dark skimms of a Siberian Thrush, マミジロ, but I didn't get a picture.
There were flowering wild Wisteria,

... and very few insects, as if the island was a few weeks behind in the spring time cycle
