This blog is for family and friends, to share my feelings and photos with and for myself, to support my fading memory and improve my Japanese. I intend to do some writing in kanji, but am not getting very far without a Japanese computer. So for the moment I say "konnichi wa". Aisatsu dake - just saying hello.

November 3

Along the creek the juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron, ゴイサギ keeps an eye on the water.

There are many ducks in the ponds now. All regular ducks and some others, like the Gadwall, オカヨシガモ.
Pretty birds with intricate feather patterns

Circling above the 2 ponds, then chased away by the crows, female Eastern Marsh Harrier, チュウヒ

One of many Ospreys, ミサゴ living in the area

The adult Mute Swan コブハクチョウ is still around, but what happened to the baby?

The last butterfly of the month (Nov 27)     Common Magpie, カササギ
