Imazu update

  April 11, at the mudflats. It's almost high tide. The slab of concrete is not yet submerged. 18 birds are gathered, but as the water rises the group thins out.



In the end, at the top of high tide there are 5 Far Eastern Curlews, ホウロクシギ 4 Grey Plovers, ダイセン 2 Bar-tailed Godwits オオソリハシシギ and 1 Whimbrel, チュウシャクシギ





The Godwit is really not much bigger than the Plovers
