Mt Kuju area part 2: small stuff

Continued from part 1, this post has flowers, insects, fungi etc. Some pretty, some really gruesome!

First at Choojabaru: The beautiful Yamafuji, (Wisteria brachybotrys) at its best

A new butterfly for me: Miyama Seseri,

 ♂

Japanese Labyrinth,

Mitsuba Akebi,

(Viola verecunda)

Eastern Pale Clouded Yellow on a flower who's name I forgot

(Gentiana thunbergii)
The flowers are usually blue, but can occasionally be white or pink. It's a challenge to find the Pink  Harurindo Gentian

Yes, Very pink!

The armies of  Silver Dragon, ギンリュウソウ out in full force

At a dark corner: Gin Lan, (Cephalanthera erecta)
Erect Cephalanthera, is a species of terrestrial orchid

(Viola orientalis)

Asian royal fern (ゼンマイ)

Next at Oike: Many plants, but only 2 in bloom: フタリシズカ Chloranthus serratus

Anemone nikoensis

Oogikazura?

Maybe yes

Another orchid!  Oreorchis patens (コケイラン)
Common Oreorchis is a species of orchid native to eastern Asia.

(Akebia x pentaphylla) also known as Chocolate vine

(Colobochyla salicalis)

A big nest of something. On top some creatures that seem to be Caterpillars  (ケムシ)

If you think this looks ghastly, scroll further down...

A more pleasant looking caterpillar  (ケムシ)

What's this? A bright yellow mushroom kind of fungus covered with flies of some sort. Yuck!!!

My first reaction was to turn away in disgust, but curiosity won me over.

On to the pretty Yuumadara Edashaku, (Abraxas miranda)

Another moth it seems, but no name yet

There is that gruesome mushroom again.

With a Kuroboshi Hiratashidemushi,
