This is not about beautiful pictures of birds, it's just an account of what I saw, of what was there. There is too much harsh light in the summer sun. It's too hot to wait around for the right moment. Young birds look scruffy, their parents often as well mid-summer. It's just a report.
The Kurotsugumi family was out. While the kids played around, Mum and Dad kept an eye out for them. Japanese Thrush, クロツグミ
A male Narcissus Flycatcher, キビタキ dropped by briefly
Eurasian Nuthatch, ゴジュウカラ as well. Very few Tits came down, but there was a small mixed flock.
At a different location, some flycatchers were active around a fruiting tree.
Asian Brown Flycatcher, コサメビタキ
Blue-and-white Flycatcher, オオルリ
A Japanese Green Woodpecker, アオゲラ took a few bites before it moved on, calling out loud
A bunch of White-bellied Green Pigeons, アオバト flew in and disappeared in the foliage right away
I think it is a Giant Dogwood tree, ミズキ, but I cannot see the whole tree and its shape
