December birds 1

It's December and we're all so busy. Images of many birds (there were so many pleasant days this month) are piling up on my hard drive. Now that the last days have come I will try to put them all together in a few posts...  The last of this year.
First the birds close to home. In the park the Red-breasted Flycatcher continues to entertain birders. It seems well settled and it looks like a bit of coloring is coming out around the breast...

Red-breasted Flycatcher,

There is a female Redstart that claims the same territory. Daurian Redstart,

This bird is rather brave. I caught it perched on a branch, preening, not at all concerned about the creature 50 cm below him:

And then we have the colorful male Bluetail, who sometimes flies in and doesn't seem to mind intruders with cameras too much.  Red-flanked Bluetail,

I like hanging around with them. Even more so when the Pipits show up.
Olive-backed Pipit,

Closing the scene with the Brown-eared Bulbul,

posing with his favorite red berries.
