This blog is for family and friends, to share my feelings and photos with and for myself, to support my fading memory and improve my Japanese. I intend to do some writing in kanji, but am not getting very far without a Japanese computer. So for the moment I say "konnichi wa". Aisatsu dake - just saying hello.

Migrating season.

Summer birds are getting ready to leave as winter birds are flying in.

Daurian Redstart,

Blue-and-white Flycatcher,

Narcissus Flycatcher,

Always around, Varied Tit,

Other wings:

Indian Red Admiral,

Blue Admiral,

Hanging around, waiting for birds to fly in, I decided to learn the names of these butterflies.
I might get some wrong, but I will stick to the common ones first, to stay on the safe side.
