Kanatake walk in January

It was overcast, cold and occasionally raining on the 3rd Wednesday of January. There were a few surprises, like the flocks of White-bellied Green Pigeons flying over the tall trees towards the mountains and the ponds. Conditions were not good enough for any photos 😒

A flock of about 15 Long-tailed Tits, エナガ stopped briefly in the small trees in the creek

Masked Bunting, アオジ watching us 

One of the Ryukyu Minivets, リュウキュウサンショウクイ stopped briefly in the tall trees

Eastern Buzzard, ノスリ
