The squeaking of  Mallard ducklings, マガモ woke me up one morning.

Resident ducks of the river Mom decided to take them out and explore the harbour that day.

These Thrushes had a successful summer this year. The chicks are mostly taking care of themselves.
They look so scruffy, worth a shot

  

   

   

Barn Swallows, ツバメ

July, birds have been nesting at the usual site for about 3 months now. The nests always seemed to be occupied and there was a constant stream of parents flying in and out. The first newborns had barely left when others hatched again.  

This mom or dad seemst to be feeding life insects. They literally crawl out the chicks beak.

Are these flies meant to be eaten, or did they fly by to get their share?
