Not a lifer - Every birder who has done a bit of traveling in Asia knows this bird - but the first time for me to see it here in Kyushu. These birds have been sighted here before, mostly in spring and on the outer islands. You just have to be lucky to find one.
Still a very young bird maybe. I hope he will find his mates
The irregular flight pattern made it hard to get a good shot in flight.
The bird self was quite good at catching his meal. Big insects went down one after the other!
