West Fukuoka

Sunday, March 5th. Another WBSJ day in Imazu and this time and it wasn't raining!

One of the prettiest ducks: Falcated Duck, ヨシガモ

A flock of Dunlins, ハマシギ flying in formation.

At midday some Great Cormorants,  カワウ swim upriver to hunt the fish,
while the Great Egrets, ダイサギ and a Little Egret, コサギ keep an eye out for their share.

  Great Cormorants,  カワウ

Some Black-faced Spoonbills, クロツラヘラサギ sporting a magnificent hairdo.

Osprey, ミサゴ

Out in the bay, far far out, 1000s of birds, Loons? Grebes?
