Trip to Kagoshima 3 ~ Seagulls on the ferry

Taking the ferry from Kumamoto to Shimabaru, where we stayed with John Wright and his family, (so much warmer than sleeping in a car) we watched Black-headed Gulls going crazy over a handful of shrimp crackers.

 Despite his handicap this one-legger didn't seem to be missing out on anything.

Watch the boy challenging the gull with a cracker between his lips. Lucky for him the gull backed off. A moment later they got a warning, as one gull sniped Dad's hand.
