I can't get enough of these little beach runners. Sitting in the wet sand, my bum got salty. So an unscheduled visit to the coin laundry was imminent.

Red-necked Stints. トウネン
Every year they visit the beach near our home. Mostly small groups of 4 or 6. This time there were 14 birds. It was such a pleasure, watching them fly and run back and forth, on the first coolish day after the summer! 😍

At the end of the morning, we were just short of entering the bay, a small flock of Phalaropes crossed our route. 8 Birds we counted. Happy!

5 Hours at sea, looking for Storm Petrels, we encountered Shearwaters, Shearwaters and more Shearwaters. And 2 swallowsm probably Barnswallows. However, we were in for a little surprise at the end!

Recent birds in the West
Mid September held a few surprises. Number 1:
Male Brown Shrike, シマアカモズ 2nd time this year
Chestnut-cheeked Starling, コムクドリ
Zitting Cisticola, セッカ among Black-browed Reed Warbler, コヨシキリ and Middendorff's Grasshopper Warblers, シマセンユウ the only bird I managed to capture 😆
Young Common Kingfisher, カワセミ
After 100s of Black-tailed Gulls, ウミネコ a flock of 60 noisy young Black Kites, トビ, lots of Great Egrets, ダイサギ and Cormorants, カワウ - FINALLY the Black-headed Gulls, ユリカモメ came to our harbor.
