Migrators update July 30th
Several migrating birds have arrived recently. I was particularly happy to see the Red-necked Stints. As every year. There were 5 birds on a barren field. Their feathers still showed summer colors, but on a brown field with nothing green what so ever the beauty doesn't come out well.

(The Cattle Egrets, アマサギ are also still around)

Japanese Paradise Flycatcher, サンコウチョウ 3, - BABIES!
Another day at the usual location and the Sankocho flycatchers were calling out loud. The male in his usual cheerfully challenging way hoi hoi hoi, the female with her throaty keh-keh. And... some more tiny keh keh sounds
My only decent images of the ever so lively, swift and supersonic male.
where they will probably stay till ETD

July 26 - The first waders
Migration season has started and some waders have arrived. At the mudflats 3 Tattlers were flying across the river. There were several ducks, Eastern Spot-billed and some unidentified.
