Lucky to catch this bird on its way south. She was hunting hoppers and caught several in the short time (about 1 hour) I got to watch her. It was only 9:00 in the morning when she left.

Bean Geese,
The next day I returned to find the fields empty, the swans had left. I didn't see any geese at first, but after a few minutes they appeared. 5 birds flew in, circled overhead and landed.

Saturday, October 24th. The weather was excellent. Cool, sunny, the breeze full of fresh air. After the rain there should be some migrators and sure there were:
1 Black-winged Stilt,
5 Bean Geese,
Some more Black-faced Spoonbills, クロツラヘラサギ had come in.
4 Tundra Swans,

Shorebirds at Higashiyoka Tideland
The yearly autumn trip to Saga was late. Too late to see the Western Sandpiper. It was a super high tide and the birds stayed on the concrete side of the fence a long time. There were so many. All i winterplumage. Overwhelmingly grey. Once a year is not enough to build my confidence
Broad-billed Sandpiper
Red-necked Stint
On the right 2 Marsh Sandpipers,
Long-billed Dowitcher
On the fence, birds one by one from the left:
ツルシギ, Spotted Redshank between 2 Knots (Great? Grey Plover
Grey Plover
Common Redshank
Eurasian Oystercatcher came flying by
Flight scene of mostly Dunlin,

When the tide ran out again birds returned to their feeding ground
Suaeda Japonica, finally creating a colorful scene
